It’s only natural for people to be attracted to products that look nice. But I think graphic designers see the world through different eyes. When facing an isle of products at the grocery store I could spot a well designed packaging in a second. In fact I end up spending a lot more on products simply because I like the packaging. It could be something as simple as a box of pens, or a bottle of shampoo. For those of you with the same cravings for package design there is Lovely Package. A blog dedicated to products with awesome packaging and the people who design them. It’s also a great source of inspiration for those of you who design packaging.

I just booked my flight for next Wednesday to go back to San Francisco to visit Yuri and get out of Salt Lake City for (most likely) the majority of the winter. The winters here in Salt Lake City get a bit depressing after a few months of darkness and loads of snow storms. I am looking forward to a mild winter, scarfs and jackets, a warm and cozy apartment in Nob Hill (feather bed included) and warm meals in quaint eateries with Yuri seated across from me.

I am also looking forward to a bunch of good upcoming shows. In the next little bit here are the potential artists I would love to see:
